Meet the Senior Leadership Team
The school's Senior Leadership team is made up of the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and three Assistant Headteachers.
Each year group has a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) attached to it. If you have a concern that cannot be dealt with by your child's class teacher or year group Team Leader, then it will be dealt with by the SLT link for that year group
Mr Mark Sherwin-Peddie - Headteacher
Mr Sherwin has worked at Beechwood since September 2004. He started off as Deputy Headteacher and was appointed Headteacher in January 2013.
His hobbies include running (he has run a number of marathons) and travel. He was a lifelong support of Hereford United football club until their demise and now supports Hereford FC.
This year, he is also SLT link for Year 5 and Year 6.

Mrs Michelle Breen-Smith - Deputy Headteacher
Mrs Breen-Smith joined the SLT team in September 2016 but has been part of the teaching team at Beechwood since 2011.
She is currently the SLT link for Nursery, Reception and Year 3.
Mrs Kelly Blair- Assistant Headteacher
Mrs Blair joined the SLT team in September 2015 but has been part of the teaching team at Beechwood for the last 12 years.
She is currently the SLT link for Year 2.
Mrs Helen Welford- Assistant Headteacher SENDCo
Mrs Welford joined the SLT team in September 2018 but has been a part of the Beechwood team for a long time.
She is currently responsible for Inclusion, Designated Safeguarding link and EAL.
Mrs Amanda Stanton- Assistant Headteacher
Mrs Stanton joined the SLT team in September 2019 but has been a part of the Beechwood team for a long time.
She is currently SLT link for Year 1 and Year 4.
